Why I Love LipSense & ShadowSense

I've always been a fan of make-up. I'm an all or nothing kind of girl though. I either have a full face or nothing at all. More days than not, it's nothing at all but when I do my makeup, it's a face, eyes and lips. Not because I'm trying to look appear certain way but because I love makeup and the endless possibilities it gives me to change up my look. I've never really been a fan of lipstick until last year. Nothing every lasted long enough and more times than not, it really dried my lips out. Even the expensive brands. When I discovered LipSense last Fall I was instantly hooked. I bought a starter kit and within 2 weeks, 3 more colors and my collection keeps growing. LipSense and ShadowSense is my favorite make-up products and here is why.

It's liquid lipstick and the biggest new MLM phenomenon. The main selling points that distinguish it from other lipsticks is that it's highly durable - lasting up to 18 hours and staying on through eating, drinking, kissing, exercising, swimming, etc. ShadowSense is very similar to LipSense but for your eyes. It's long lasting eye makeup that doesn't crease, smudge and lasts for hours. There's also a line of facial makeup and skincare products from the same company, SeneGence. I've used both the LipSense and the ShadowSense so I'll share just my thoughts on those today.

ABSOLUTELY! When I drink or eat something, there's no lipstick residue on my cup. When I kiss my Mister or CJ, there's no lipstick on their lips/face. When I go walking or attend an exercise class, my lips stay full of color. In regards to ShadowSense, I adore this product. I've gone to bed with it on and woke up to James asking me "Did you already put make-up up?"; it's that long lasting. And yes, I know I should be washing my face before bed. Overall, I've been highly impressed with the staying power of LipSense and ShadowSense.

Yes, it really does last all day long. It's nice to put it on in the morning and not have to worry about it for the rest of the day. My LipSense starts to wear off at about hour 9 - and most distributors will be very honest with you about this. Mine starts to wear off at my waterline first (your waterline is where the inside of your mouth meets your lips). By the time I go to bed (15 hours after application) it's almost completely gone. I will say some colors last longer than others for me. I don't know why that is and I'm sure it differs from each person but for me, being able to wear lipstick easily for 6-9 hours is more than enough. If you do need more than 9 hours, you can add one more quick layer at hour 9 and be good for another few hours. If I notice my waterline losing color quickly, I do a quick swipe of color and it's as good as news.

A lot of lipsticks, even expensive ones from the higher end retailers, leaves my lips feeling chapped and ridiculously dry to the point that I never wear anything but my trusty Carmex. I thought if there was a lipstick that's so powerful it holds color all day long it MUST wreak havoc on your lips. I had the total opposite experience when using LipSense. Honestly, LipSense has made my lips feel better than they have in YEARS, hence why I wear it daily! I'm not exaggerating this. My lips feel better than they ever did with my trusty Carmex that I've been using since elementary school. The shea butter in the gloss has really done wonders for my lips.

I believe so! The product is great. It's long-lasting, it's high quality, it's moisturizing. The colors are varied and fun. I like that there are a LOT of pictures available of different people wearing any given color, so you can see how it might look on your skin tone. And best of all - I personally like LipSense because buying it means supporting people I care about. Lots of my friends selling LipSense are moms selling lipstick as a side hustle, and I am all about women supporting women in their personal and business endeavors. These women have been supporting my blog for years, so I'm happy to support them - and get awesome lipstick while I'm at it.

I know I talked a lot about LipSense and not much on ShadowSense but my overall opinion is this: both products are long-lasting, are fun to experiment with (mixing shades) and worth every penny. From your lips to your eyes, you'll be using products that do what they claim and aren't tossed in your make-up bag, soon to be forgotten. I wear make-up more often than every before thanks to SeneGence. And because I want to show you how much I love here, here are a handful of selfies with each product listed underneath.
