Life Lately in Just 6 Photos

Life has been busy, busy, busy. Which is good because I have so many new photos of Connor and just life in general that aren't holiday themed. I feel like after Christmas I get in a slump with taking photos because I take all.the.photos. during the holiday. That's one reason I joined Beth for the Spring Fling photo challenge on IG (it's not too late to join us!). I find myself lacking motivation when it comes to photos so a challenge always gets me thinking and looking through my camera lens more. I've been snapping photos like crazy lately and while I usually share some of my favorites on Instagram, I figured I would share a bit here to along with the stories behind each shot.

This man. He has been my rock and biggest supporter lately and I don't know what I would do without him. We are inching our way towards our 9 year mark (married almost 6) and I couldn't image doing life with anyone else. When I asked to take this photo he sat down and let me snap it while Connor ran wild off to the side. He truly the calm to my chaos and I wouldn't want it any other way. Well, maybe less chaos!

Speaking of chaos, this is it on 2 legs. He is such SO MUCH MOTION AND NOISE these days. I try to remind myself that it won't be this way forever, that one day I will truly miss his antics, some days are just hard. Hours after this photo, he faked a foot injury so that he wouldn't have to walk anymore. Guess who carried all 37 pounds of him? This gullible Momma. He rebounded quickly and was able to play, run and jump all evening long. I guess if I was as cute as he is, I'd try to be catered to as well.

Spring has arrived and when it's not raining, the sky is the prettiest shade of blue and the sun is oh so welcoming. We spent this weekend outdoors and I have to admit moments like this one, when it's picture perfect outside really makes me wish we lived somewhere warmer year round. If I had it my way we would live in Colorado. I am in love with all things Golden. One of my goals is to be outside as much as possible this Spring and Summer. It's safe to say we are off to a great start.

I hope these two forever love and cherish their friendship. Neither has a sibling so this is as close as it gets for now. I love seeing CJ play with my littlest best friend. Macie Jane has been my girl so long and it's a bit heartbreaking to see how big she is these days. But then again, I guess that's par for the "growing up" course. This two love each other something fierce but always fight like cats and dogs sometimes. It's funny to see their relationship grow and mature. I also hope to one day share this photo at their wedding ... to each other!

Connor has decided THIS WEEK that he is now obsessed with dinosaurs. His friend Augie knows nearly everything there is to know about dinos and well now CJ wants to know all.the.facts. too. This is a huge learning curve for me because let's face it... I know NOTHING about dinosaurs. I do however know how to use Google so there's that. I think we will start with watching the Land Before Time series. Anyone have any tips on a crash course about dinosaurs? I know nothing so let's start with picture books.

If you know anything about me you know that I adamant about taking my birth control. Also if you know anything about birth control you know the above photo is horribly scary for a person (me!) who is a card holder of the "One and Done" club. I don't know what happened to me but when I started my new back of pills I started with the sugar pills, leaving me unprotected. The moment I realized what I had done I nearly had a stroke but not before taking the missed pills all at once. Yeah, smart, I know. I've been so bad with my pill and vitamins lately that I decided to take the plunge and had an IUD inserted. I've had it for about 10 days now and couldn't be happier. Adios pills!

So that's it. That's life lately. In 6 totally random photos.
