A new month brings with it the chance for me to share with you a month by the numbers post. I think these are some of my favorite posts. It's fun to pick and choose parts of your life to track numerically. This month I'm focusing on our Florida vacation because we are still suffering a bit from a traveling hangover. Here is a quick glimpse at our vacation. A full recap will be up next week.
Number of miles traveled from our front door to our resort in Lake Buena Vista, Florida. The first half of our travel was ROUGH. We hit a rainstorm that showered us with hail and poor visibility, causing us to travel at 20 MPH for a good 2-3 hours.
Number of times Connor watched Trolls. He LOVES that movie and I have to admit, it's one of my favorite "kid" movies. The tunes are top notch and I pretty much love everything Anna Kendrick touches.
Number of hours it took to get from our front door to our hotel bed last weekend. The storm was relentless so driving was tricky the first evening, we stopped for 2 meals and we spent the night in Atlanta. Needless to say we were more than eager to get to the resort Saturday evening.
Number of potty breaks we took on our way down to FL and back to Ohio. Not too awful, right? With 8 people, one 4 years old, I figured we'd be stopping way more often.
Number of books read while out of town: Home Front by Kristen Hannah and All The Missing Girls by Megan Miranda. Both were great books, Home Front made me cry and Missing Girls kept me thinking of what's going to happen next. I would recommend both.
Highest temperature all week. It was pure bliss. We were able to spend time outside and not melt. Days spent by the pool were the perfect mix of sun and breeze. I couldn't have wished for a better forecast. Now if only Ohio would jump on board with the sunny skies.
Number of characters we encountered at Disney. I think it's safe to say Connor's favorite was Buzz Light-year and I think mine would have been Goofy. Disney was such a wonderful day, one I hope Connor remembers for a while (is forever too much to ask?).
February came and went so.dang.quickly! I can't believe it's already March. However I am eager for Spring weather to come our way after spending a week in the sunny south.
