My Month in Numbers -- January 2017

A new month brings with it the chance for me to share with you a month by the numbers post. I think these are some of my favorite posts. It's fun to pick and choose parts of your life to track numerically. I usually keep a note on my phone with things I want to get track of and sure. This month I'm a all over the place. Enjoy!

Number of movies watched since getting Sling TV. I don't know the last time I watched 9 movies in a single month. Maybe never! Some favorites included Pearl Harbor and Con Air. Old school movies for sure. I also binged watch My Big Fat Greek Wedding 1 & 2 on the same day. When James went out of town, I found myself looking to see what movie I could get lost in. Friday night it was The Choice.

Number of pages read in the 3 books I finished reading last month. Being sick has it's perks. I was able to read much more than usual as I was left alone because I was so contagious. I shared on Instagram the 2 books I want to read this month, both are short reads. I'm hoping to read 4 books in February.

Number of days I made it the gym. That number should have been higher but I got sick and couldn't move let alone drive myself to the gym. I'm hoping to get in at least 10 workouts this month before heading to Florida for vacation.

Number of trips made to Target. I have to say that I've cut back already in the New Year and plan to keep that habit going. This month I'll visit exactly ZERO times as I'm giving up shopping there for my no spend February. The things I'm willing to do to save a penny (or $75 worth).

Number of blog posts wrote and shared in January. Cutting back has been the best idea. I usually do some sort of blog work every day but it's nice not having to if I don't have the time or desire. Last Thursday I didn't turn my laptop on at all and I don't feel one bit bad about it. Last month's most popular post was Budget Beauty Finds for the Low Maintenance Momma.

Number of nights Connor slept all night. That's an improvement for sure but I have to admit, I would love to see that number hit the teens sooner than later. We've been using melatonin again along with diffusing lavender and that's been helping, too. He usually only wakes up once and that's around 5AM but goes back to sleep for a couple hours. One day he will sleep all night, right?

Number of coupons redeemed last month. I'm trying really hard to cut back on our grocery bill and have taken to using coupons via Kroger's online app. Last month I saved nearly $40 in coupons. I'm hoping to continue to make smart decisions at the store, use coupons and shop for what's on my list. My goal this month is to save $45.

How did January treat you? It's hard to believe we are already moving right into the second week of February.
