September Recap and October Goals

With a vacation at the beginning of September I spent the majority of the month in vacation mode. What's that mean for my goals? I struggled. Hard. And to keep this space honest some I completed earlier this week, prior to writing this post, meaning I finished them in October, not September. But hey, you win some months while losing others. So here is what I was able to complete last month and what I hope to achieve in October. 

Here is what we accomplished from last month's list
Visit the beach
Attend Third on Third
Update blog pages
Enjoy one MNO
Put together our Fall Bucket List display
Complete Level 1 Swim Lessons
Purge Connor's playroom before his birthday
Decorate for Fall
Bake 2-3 new recipes

I only missed 3 goals but the biggest area I bombed was the health and wellness goals I set for myself. I really need to get my booty back into the gym. This week has started off well and I hope I can carry this workout momentum through the entire month. Thanks to all the pumpkin I've been consuming, I need to live in the gym this Fall. So with that in mind here is what I plan to focus on this month. 

Visit Young's Dairy 
Paint or Carve Pumpkins 

Write and Schedule 5-7 posts head of time
Share/Promote last year's seasonal posts on Facebook

Cut back caffeine
Average 55,000 steps a week

Attend Bunco
Read 2 books

Complete Level 2 swim lessons
Have a play date with Macie

Have a girls day with Kari
Make homemade doughnuts 

October is going to be a very busy month of our family so I choose goals that would fit into our hectic month. With the end of 2016 coming to an end (much quicker than I'd like), I've been thinking of how rewarding it's been for me to have monthly goal to focus on. While I know not everyone is goal or list oriented, I am and it really helps me focus throughout the month on personal and family growth and fun. 

Are you still focused on your new years goals? I know that by now they seem a bit boring and bothersome but I love pushing myself to do more, experience more in a single month.
