Happy 4th Birthday, Connor!

Never pictured myself singing lullabies
Sitting in a rocking chair in the middle of the night
In the quiet, in the dark
You’re stealing every bit of my heart with your daddy’s eyes
What a sweet surprise

And now I’m holdin’ what I never knew I always wanted
I couldn’t see; I was blind ’til my eyes were opened
I didn’t know there was a hole
Something missing in my soul
‘Til you filled it up, oh, with your love

Dear Connor,

Today you are 4. Today marks the celebration of life you've brought into our world. You have been the very best part of Papa and my days. How could someone so little have such power?

Since day one I was certain that you would do big things. You have this presence that makes everyone happy. You are truly a walking, talking, touchable piece of pure joy. The biggest thing you've done so far is make your Momma realize she can be a mother. Before you, I was so unsure. But Connor J., you've made me one heck of a mom and I will never be able to thank you enough.

You are smart. You are funny. You are a hugger. You have a heart of gold. You are loud. You are messy. You have the biggest smile. You are a toucher. You love life big. You leave bits of happiness everywhere you go. You have and will continue to make the world a better place. There is nothing that will never be too much for you to conquer. We look forward to seeing what God has in store for you as you get older and older.

Papa and I couldn't love you more yet I knew we will. Today is your day so we shall celebrate just how you want: with a Pokemon party, chicken nuggets for lunch and meatballs for dinner.

We love you Connor James. To Saturn and back,
Papa and Momma
