May Recap -- June Goals

Goals, goals, goals. I often times wonder why I give myself goals. As a SAHM you'd think that I'd like to sit back and just go with the flow, spend my days knee deep in all things boy. I sometimes wish I was more relaxed as a person but that's not who I am. I like having goals and tasks to work on. While being home with Connor is what I love, I miss the "work" that comes with having a job so that's where this blog and monthly goals helps. Here is a recap of May's goals and a look at what I'd like to focus on in June.

Here is what we finished from last month's list
Dinner date at Young's
Go to the movies
Read and Comment on a more daily basis
Walk/Jog/Run 15 miles
Cut out drive-thru lunches
Try 3-5 new recipes this month
Plan our 5th wedding anniversary
Sign C up for swim lessons
Sign C up for soccer camp

Each month I have 18 goals. Often times it's a mix of simple tasks to much larger projects. This month I batted .500 with 9 goals complete with 9 more waiting for me to tackle them. One that won't get accomplished is the garage sale. We were rained out when we tried a few weekends back and I don't have plans to try again. While I really did well networking and commenting on blogs and replying to comments on here, I didn't complete any other blog tasks so that needs to be a focus this month.

Here are my May goals divided into 6 categories
Go camping
Have a picnic at the park
Start attending church again

Get ahead by writing and scheduling posts
Update the "About The Family" page on WMM
Plan Back to School Linkup

Walk/Jog/Run 20 miles in June
Cut out soda - drink ALL the water
Stock the fridge with 5-7 freezer meals

Date my Mister
Complete one craft a week with C
Starting June 1, set alarm and get up at 6AM

Sign up for metro-park classes
Have one Friday Fun Day with friends
Practice spelling Connor & scissor use

Finish master bedroom decor
Hang Connor's US Map
Create artwork gallery wall in playroom

With Summer here, I hope that we can still make time for my goals. This past weekend was so busy and if we are that busy this Summer, I'll never get anything accomplished. What I'm really looking forward to this month is a) waking up early. I need to start my day before Connor and if that means setting an alarm, than so be it. Just don't expect me to be happy-go-lucky at 6AM and b) camping with the guys. I'm eager to see how our first trip goes this weekend.

Are you still focused on your new years goals? I know that by now they seem a bit boring and bothersome but I love pushing myself to do more, experience more in a single month. If you are still plugging away at the goals you set for yourself in January or even those that are month to month, let me know! I'd love to check in with you this month
