April Recap -- May Goals

Last month I shared how I was looking for a balance when it came to my goals. I went ahead and cut back on the number of tasks hoping this would help with finding that balance. I'm happy to report that doing so made achieving my goals much easier and I felt less "rushed" with my to do list this month. Let's take a look at how April shaped up shall we.

Here is what we accomplished from last month's list...
Go on a nature hike
Discover a new park
Spend a weekday playing hooky
Cut back on sweets
Increase water intake
Work on getting more sleep
Enjoy a day date with James
Celebrate 8 years with the Mister
Have a Daddy and Connor day
Unsubscribe from junk email
Take a day trip to see a friend

Last month was a success for sure. I missed 7 goals and have added those to May's goal. Some of them were on my radar, but I didn't find the time to accomplish them while others were just simply forgotten. The one area I totally bombed was my blogging category. I've been struggling reading blogs and commenting as well replying to the comments left on my blog posts. I'm really going to focus on that in May and hope to see an improvement. I wasn't able to complete on of my goals - complete Fat Mum Slim's photo challenge - because people were using the hashtags and sharing some really unpleasant photos and I didn't want my photos attached to that so I bowed out.
Here are my May goals divided into 6 categories
Dinner date at Young's Dairy
Go to the movies
Have a garage sale

Read and Comment on a more regular basis
Update the "About The Family" page on WMM
Plan Back to School Linkup

Walk/Jog/Run 15 miles in May
Cut out drive-thru lunches
Try 3-5 new dinner recipes this month

Date my Mister
Complete one craft a week with C
Plan our 5th wedding anniversary celebration

Sign up for swim lessons
Sign up for soccer camp
Practice spelling Connor & scissor use

Finish master bedroom decor
Hang Connor's US Map
Create artwork gallery wall in playroom

I feel like May is our last month to get things in order before the busyness of Summer takes over.
The two things I love most from this list is a) date my husband and b) focusing on getting some miles in, in May. Jame is traveling a ton in May so I want to make the most of our time together while he is in town and I miss running and now the weather is perfect for it!

Are you still focused on your new years goals? I know that by now they seem a bit boring and bothersome but I love pushing myself to do more, experience more in a single month. If you are still plugging away at the goals you set for yourself in January or even those that are month to month, let me know! I'd love to check in with you this month
