Valentine Themed White Chocolate Pretzels

I am not much of a baker but love sweets so I tend to make simple desserts that satisfy my sweet tooth but don't require a ton of skill in the kitchen. One of my favorite indulgences is chocolate covered pretzels. I can not be trusted with a bag of them so you will never find them in our home. I can't stop at just a handful so I keep them at bay. With Valentine's Day just 2 weeks away, I thought now would be the perfect time to whip up a batch of Valentine themed white chocolate pretzels.

What I love about this recipe is it's so simple yet yields a tasty sweet treat that doesn't leave you feeling too guilty about indulging a bit. What's even better about chocolate covered pretzels is that you can make them for just about any holiday or occasions thanks to the versatility of sprinkles.

VALENTINE THEMED WHITE CHOCOLATE PRETZELS

Ingredients
  • 12 pretzel rods
  • 3 ounces of white baker's chocolate
  • Various sprinkles
Instructions
1.) Melt the baker's chocolate in a glass bowl per the instructions on package. Usually this is in 30 second rounds until chocolate squares are completely melted.
2.) One by one dip pretzel rods into the white chocolate, gently tapping the rod against the glass blow, removing any extra chocolate.
3.) Over a mixing bowl, lightly cover the rods with sprinkles, making sure to decorate all sides.
4.) Place each rod on parchment paper and let dry for about 30-40 minutes.
5.) Seal in an air tight container or gallon zip-lock bag for up to 7 days. Yields 12 rods.

Not only are we feeling the Valentine spirit through the house with simple decorations but now, we have some tasty treats to enjoy as well. I am thinking I may have to whip up a batch of these for St. Patrick's Day too!
