Friday Favorites || Jan. 8

Dear Friday, how I've been waiting for you. What a week we've had but with moments of yuck, we've also had some really fun ones too. With that being said, it's time for our first Friday Favorites post of the new year. Here's are highs and lows of the week.

Here are this week's posts in case you've missed them...

Mid-December I colored my hair for the first time in over 3 years. Full confusion: it was because the grays were beginning to be too much. Thanks motherhood! But because I now have colored hair, I have to use quality products that help keep my hair healthy. I read on Pinterest (of course) that essential fatty acids did wonders for your hair so when given the chance to try Macadamia Oil shampoo and conditioner, I was totally on board. HASK uses this rich, ultra-hydrating oil as a featured ingredient in their products. Its nutrients and essential fatty acids help keep hair soft, supple and shiny. Ideal for dry, damaged, or over-processed hair, which mine isn't but could if I continue to color it. So if you color your hair or use a lot of product or styling tools, give Macadamia Oil a try. I love what it's done for my hair!

My poor sweet Frank. Whatever he has - cold, virus or flu - has knocked him on his you know what. He just can't kick it and I feel so bad for him. His sleep has been ridiculous (as in he doesn't), his fever comes and goes with the highest being 102.7 and he hasn't ate much of anything. It blows my mind how little he can eat and still function. This photo is from yesterday when he was napping and I just couldn't help but giggle at that hair. He fell asleep after bath time and created such hilarious bedhead.

These No Bake Energy Bites are TO DIE FOR. Seriously. Not only are they easy to make (hello! no bake!) but they are full of tasty goodness - peanut butter, chocolate chips, coconut - and make the perfect on the go breakfast or snack or just because you want to enjoy something tasty. I gobbled 3 down yesterday for breakfast with coffee and wanted more but resisted. Grab the recipe here and make a batch right away. You won't be sorry.

I completed an online class yesterday with Social Fabric and one of the many things I learned was the importance of using a watermark on your photos on your blog and social media. While I'm not a fan of watermarks that take away from the photo itself, I see the importance of keeping your photo safe. With that in mind, I made this quick watermark using PicMonkey. Simple enough and I hope it prevents someone from snagging our photos.

Happy Friday friends! While this has been such a long week, the weekend is looking to be enjoyable and if Connor could just knock out this cold, life would be just peachy. But until then, we are going to roll with the punches and make the most of our days spent at home. Enjoy your weekend.
