Visit with Santa + a Book Exchange

We celebrate the holidays big in our household and that love for the Christmas runs over to my blog too. The majority of my post this month have been Christmas oriented. And while not everyone is a Christmas crazy as me, I love sharing the holidays with my readers. In keeping with the Christmas 24/7 themed, today I'm sharing our 2015 visit with Santa along with the goodies we got in this years Mommy and Me book exchange.

First up is our annal trip to see Santa. Connor wasn't so sure of Santa last year and would barely stand next to St. Nick but this year, this year he made me proud.

We hadn't planned to visit Santa but my baby brother talked us into going to the mall to shop a bit on Friday. I noticed that there were no lines whatsoever for Santa so I figured this would be our chance. Connor ran up to him, gave him a hug and preceded to tell the Man in Red that he wants a Sonic toy for Christmas. Funny thing is, is that we were told by a certain 3 year old he wanted a Batman toy so that's what waiting for him on Christmas. Looks like we'll be shopping some this week so find Connor his beloved "Santa Gift".

Moving along to our Secret Santa Mommy and Me Book Exchange. This fun snail mail linkup combines my two loves: books and Christmas. This year, we bought for Brittany and her two little ones, Charlie and Maddie. Hop over and visit Just Another Day in Paradise to see what we gifted them.

Tori from Becoming the Wilkinsons was given the task to buy from Connor and I. It was so hard for me to narrow down the books to choose from because #bookwormproblems but I did and Tori picked great books for C and I and gifted us a sweet ornament because she picked up on my love of all things Christmas.

Connor has recently discovered a deep love of Daniel Tiger so when looking for books for him, I knew this would be a winner. Tori picked up Stumbling Into Grace for me. This is a book that was recommended to me after I said that I struggle with giving myself grace as a Momma. I can't wait to dive in and read it.

Our visit with Santa along with our book exchange goodies were the highlight of our week. We've been so busy with the hustle and bustle of the holiday that sometimes little treats like this is exactly what you need.
