Life lately has been CRAZY! I don't know how or when it happened but all of a sudden we are doing all the things and our to do lists never get completed and we just seem to be going and going and going. I feel like I have so much stuff to share on here but at the same time, feel like it's not enough to have a single post dedicated to the randomness that is life lately. One thing for certain is that it's Friday and ain't nobody mad about that! So today I'm going to have a this and that post from the work in honor of...
I've recently decided to embrace the mess of motherhood. For those of you who don't have to deal with that option, bravo and for those of you who know that mess all too well, thanks for holding a seat for me. Along with embracing the mess, I've realized that I can't do it all so I've decided to hit the pause button on parts of life and so far, it's working to my advantage. I mean, really... who need a full social calendar for themselves, their family and their 3 year old. NO ONE!
Earlier this week, I discovered an offer from Tiny Prints for free Christmas cards and matching address labels in my Spam folder and was able to snagged up this cute card. Who doesn't love free items at during the holidays? Now if I could only get the other 25 cards I need free. PS - cards are expensive!
I'm sponsoring My So-Called Chaos this month and yesterday I took over her blog. I've mingled and worked with Angie before and just love her site. She is a book lover like me and you can really tell she has a passion for blogging when you visit her page. You are going to want to check out her page because I'm giving something away. Two words: Happy Place. Head over now and visit Angie and I!
Monetizing your blog is a tricky slope. You don't want to lose the genuine feel and content of your page but the added income can really help a single income family. While chatting with a friend about how we don't want to be labeled "sell outs" I got to thinking... if you know me, you know that I blog from my heart, sharing a personal glimpse into our lives. If I want to push a product that I like, enjoy and/or use, then so be it. Maybe I'm getting paid for it, maybe not. But bottom line is, I'm still me. I'm still the same old Stephanie that started blogging in 2012; just now business like my space too. Having said that, the day that I come across as a "sell out" email me and tell me because that's the very last thing I want to be.
Connor has been sick since for almost a month. It's been one thing after another. First croup then allergies and now a lingering cough that just want let go. We finally got some new medicines yesterday to try and I'm praying to sweet baby Jesus they work. We both are over the coughs, snotty nose and lack of sleep. Well I am... Connor, well, he'll just nap when he likes.
Blogging has been really enjoyable lately. I don't know if it's because of my cool new space or because this is my favorite time of year but I've been really diggin' my content and future ideas/plans. I love working with other bloggers too. It's always a fun experience when someone else enjoys what you like as much as you do. I'm particularly pumped for my Christmas photo challenge and the 2015 review series that kicks off next month. Sometimes blogging can just drag but other times it's like THIS IS THE BEST IDEA EVERRRR! Or at least I think so.
Speaking of Christmas, I scored a personalized Christmas ornament from Shutterfly for FREE thanks to their partnership with Pampers. We used to use Pampers when Connor was in diapers and they have a points program. I was really good about putting those points into the system. I was able to redeem them for Connor's birthday invites. So if you are still using diapers, make sure you plug those points into their site. Huggies offers perks, too!
Lastly, I was given the chance to try out Fresh Wave this week and can I tell you, I am in love with this product. If you aren't familiar, Fresh Wave order eliminators use the power of nature to remove orders from your home. No harsh chemical or harmful ingredients. The best part is that it doesn't mask fragrances, it eliminates them completely using a simple mix of oil and water. If you've been to my house you've probably been asked a time or two if my house smelled. Between Rudy's cat box, boys going potty (and missing... all the time!) and every day smells, I worry that my house may have a smell to it. I'm always told no, that it smells good but just in case, I love using Fresh Wave to knock out any pesky orders. Fresh Wave is available at Target (because everything that is wonderful is available there) so be on the lookout for it when you need to eliminate orders without chemicals. Because I love this product so much I have a gift set to giveaway to one lucky reader. Just follow Fresh Wave and Wife Mommy Me on Twitter and you'll be entered to win. I'll email the winner Monday!
If you've made it to the end of this random post, THANK YOU!
You deserve a coffee and a cupcake. Happy Friday friends!
