My Thankful Tree {Craft + Printable}

There is something about this time of year that makes me a bit sentimental. Maybe it's because in our home, this is birthday season. James celebrates his birthday October 24th, Connor the 30th and I round things out with a birthday on November 1st. With the holidays coming in on the heels of birthday celebrations, I often find myself thinking how thankful I am for all the blessings I've been graced with. This weekend was perfect, with lots of family time, sunshine and memory making, which made me want to bottle it all up for later. Since I can't do that, I thought I would do something so that I was reminded daily of all I have to be thankful for.

What am I thankful for? The simply things really. As I get older, it's clear that I like simplicity in my life and it's the simple things that bring me the most joy. As I reflected on things this weekend, here is what I am most thankful for:

James || Connor || Family || Jesus Christ || Friends || My Parents || My Brothers || Sunshine
Our Home || Sleep || Books || Ohio || MOPS || Coffee || New Friendships

For this craft, I used washable ink on my fingerprints to create leaves. I then used fine tipped black pen to write what I was thankful for on the leaves. I left some blank just to add color to the tree. You could also use print and cut out paper leaves if you didn't want to do fingerprints. This would be a wonderful craft to do with your family, allowing each person to include their print on the craft. If you'd like to do this craft, simply print the image below out on card stock.

With Thanksgiving approaching, I've been really focusing on giving thanks and showing gratitude this season. What are you thankful for this year? In what ways has your life been blessed?
