A Simple Solution to LBL

Before having a child, I remember overhearing the mothers of my family joking that they couldn't laugh or sneeze without peeing themselves a bit. I didn't realize the reason behind this but I was certain that there was no way I was going to ever have this issue. #thehorror Time went on and I became a mother myself and now I found myself all to aware of what the mothers before me were talking about. The dreaded LBL .

What is LBL? One in three women experience Light Bladder Leakage (LBL) – little leaks that can be triggered by everyday occurrences like coughing, sneezing, laughing and exercise. What causes light bladder leakage? Just as no two women are alike, there's no single reason that leaks happens. Some of the most common things that lead to uninvited leaks include:

+ Physical changes from childbirth, pregnancy, hysterectomy or menopause
+ Being overweight
+ Complications from surgery, stroke, or chronic diseases like diabetes, multiple sclerosis (MS) or Parkinson's disease
+ Bladder or urinary tract infections
+ Bladder irritants (certain foods and beverages)

Managing LBL is easier than every thanks to Poise® thin-shaped pads. Whether you leak a little when you sneeze or sometimes have a sudden urge to go, Poise® gives you one less thing to worry about any time of day or night. Their pads and liners are specifically designed for LBL, which makes them an easy choice. When running errands, going to the park, on a family trip, I slip a few thin-shape pads in my purse and off I go, with the confidence that I don't have to worry about any leaks along the way.

Join Poise® and women all over the country as we #RecycleYourPeriodPad. Bulky, uncomfortable pads are a thing of the past when fighting leaks. Gather up those unused pads and DONATE them to local schools, homeless and women's shelters, medical clinics and any non-profit organization in your area that offers free products to those in need.
