WMM1001 :: Update & Goals #2

When I decided to do the 101 in 1001 Day Challenge, I never really consider what a the long term commitment the challenge would be. It also never occurred to me that I would need a system in place to actually remember the tasks so that I could actually achieve them.

Enter list making. I am a total create a list and check it off person. I have a to do or reminder list made each day. I've been making list since before the beginning of time (but really!) so what better way to knock out my challenge than with lists of activities I'd like to do on a monthly basis. I hoping a physical list will increase the chances of me remembering to complete a task on my original list

Here is my progress so far along:
  1. Travel to California - visit November 2014
  2. Create a pen-pal - meet Courtney from Shiraz In My Sippy Cup
  3. Inspire someone else to create their on 101 in 1001 list - Read Lindsay's List HERE
  4. Meet Desiree and Liz - blogged about it HERE
  5. Redesign Wife Mommy Me -thanks to Erin of Designs by Erin
  6. Get a passport - Cabo here we come!
  7. Hit 600 followers on Google Friend Connect - completed December 2014
  8. Collaborate with a blog friend for a project I believe in - Coffee for Two with Courtney
  9. Find our perfect "home church"- accomplished March 2015
  10. Buy a stranger coffee - Becky and Keri, you have snail mail coming your way; enjoy the coffee! 
  11. Start a family tradition - we've been attending church on a regular basis but going on Easter was a first for us in Ohio so that's a tradition I'd like to keep going. Easter and Christmas services are a must. 
  12. Send snail mail to at least 10 people in 10 different states - over the last 2 months, I've mailed happy mail to the following states: California, Texas, Arizona, New Jersey, Iowa, South Carolina, Illinois, Maine and Oklahoma. 
  13. Go on a picnic with the boys - in the Spring we packed up dinner and headed to a local park for a picnic and a bit of park play.
As of today, I've accomplished 12% of my goals. My goal is to complete at least 9 tasks by August 30th to put me at 20% of my goal. I've picked 11 tasks total in hopes that I can push myself to exceed my 20% goal and really put a dent in my list. 

Go an entire day without social media || No eating lunch out for a month
Send someone a care package for no reason || Visit a museum || Send flowers to a friend || Eat at a new restaurant and blog about the food/experience || Spend a weekend off the grid 
Find the perfect color of red lipstick || Go an entire weekend with no television || Complete a "photo an hour" project || Go 90 days without Target
