Coffee for Two || April

Welcome to the second month of Coffee for Two. I loved hearing from each of you last month. Part of the perk of joining us for a little girl talk is one lucky blogger is treated to free coffee from Courtney and I. March's winner is Sandy from Keepin' It Real One Day at a Time. Sandy shared with us a honest look on how we need to love ourselves as much as we love others. Her post is a must read! Thank you Sandy for "chatting" with us last month!

If you and I were to have coffee, this is what I would share...

... life has been tricky lately. Usually I'm one to give all the details but not with this. I've learned a thing or two about myself and thanks to the love and support of my husband, I now know more about what's important, valuable and what's worth walking away from.

... I'm going to be taking a whole week off from blogging and it couldn't come at a more perfect time. I have no clue when I took time off last but I can tell you that I am going to love every single second of being unplugged. It doesn't hurt that I'll be laid up on a sunny beach in Cabo. #roughlife, right?

... My first 5K is just 1 month away and I'm no where near where I should be, time wise. But that's okay. I'm going to run that race to the very best of my ability and use it as a platform for all future races. 6 races have been schedule and when my "running season" is over this winter, I would be besides myself with joy if I could rest with a 5k time under 45 minutes.

... Our to do list keeps growing and growing. At this rate, we will be doing projects every single weekend until we are 90. I was able to knock a few things off the list this week but man oh man, I would pay good money for a sitter and a handyman during the day. Imagine having someone to watch your child, while you were able to tackle tasks with a trained professional all before your husband got home from the office? That's a SAHM's dream come true.

... Connor has been amazing lately. You can often find me saying how awesome of a kid we have and it's so true but lately, he he has been sleeping well, eating good and been in the best of moods. Seeing as he is a 2 year old, I'm constantly wondering if the Terrible Twos is lurking underneath, ready to ruin life as we know it. Maybe we will get lucky and they won't show up? I've heard 3 can be a beast... good thing he is going to school in the Fall, huh?

... I listen to Christmas music. Every single day. Usually when I'm blogging or cleaning or whatever. But as crazy as that makes me sound, something about it calms me. Maybe because I absolutely ADORE the holidays. I don't get stressed like some folks do. I start celebrating the holidays October 1 (Halloween/Fall) and move into November (Thanksgiving and more Fall) and kick things up with Christmas overload.

What's weighing on your heart or mind this week? I am always an email away so reach out if you need someone to chat with! And if there is anything you'd like me to pray about for you and with you, please let me know!
