From Pin To Plate

Full confession: I'm not much of a cook. Or a baker. Or anything that has direct ties to being in the kitchen. I blame this on having a baby brother who loved cooking and spending hours in the kitchen. Why did I need such skills when someone else had them and was more than willing to cook for me?

Well, I figured out why I need such skills! I moved out, got married and started a family. Someone has to cook around this place. And that someone turned out to be me. But I'm not one to stress over such responsibilities. Instead I turn to the world's single best online resource: PINTEREST.

When I'm limited on time (and lacking talent), a quick Pinterest search gives me more dinner or dessert ideas than I know what to do with. I simply pick a recipe, make a list and hit the grocery store. And before you know, even I am making a dinner worth talking about.

.: Here are 10 recipes that we've made, tasted and fell in love with .:
Easy and Creamy White Chicken Enchiladas
Taco Bake
Santa Fe Chicken Packets
One Pan Cheesy Smoked Sausage and Pasta Skillet
Cheesy Chicken and Broccoli Crescent Bake
Stuffed Pizza Rolls
 Chili Mac and Cheese
Chicken Cordon Bleu Casserole
Crock Pot Cheese Tortellini
Campbell's Cheesy Chicken and Rice Casserole

Do you see a theme here? Not only do must of these contain cheese (gah! Do I love cheese!) but they are also one pot or casserole meals. My goal in the kitchen is to find meals that we love that don't take to too much time or dirty too many dishes.

If you want to see more of the meals we've made and give two thumbs up to, visit my PIN IN COMPLETED board!

  6. Basically if a dish doesn't have cheese, and likely pasta, it's not often made in this house. Give me all the cheese and carbs!!
Do you use your crock pot often? Seriously, that thing is my best friend. I use that baby at LEAST once a week.

  11. LOVE Pinterest! I feel like I don't even need cookbooks anymore, I just go online when I need a recipe. I like the idea of making a pin to completed board, so I can keep track of what I've already tried and liked.
