My Thoughts on Dieting in 5 Photos

Dieting. It's a pain in the ass. Am I right or am I right? Totally right on this one. But when push comes to shove, I know when changes need to be made and I've been making small steps to lose some poundage. Some simple changes I've made since the 1st of January are no dining out, no pop and counting calories. It hasn't been the funniest 16 days but those changes have resulted in a 2 pound weight loss. Trust me when I say I know that's not HUGE but I didn't gain 2 pounds so I see it as me winning.

While looking up new recipes and such online, I've found some hilarious diet themed photos that totally sum up my thoughts on dieting.

What do they put in tacos that make them so damn delicious? I mean seriously! I love tacos, burritos, enchilada, you name it I love it. Add rice and beans and a bowl of chips and salsa and I'm in my own person Heaven.

I am not a big burger and fries person ... until I start dieting and then all I can think about is sinking my teeth into juicy burger and chowing down on some restaurant style fries. It gets so bad that even McDonald's starts looking good. #wevegotaproblemwhenthathappens

Speaking of fries... why do they gotta be so bad for you? They're made from potatoes which is a vegetable so why do they have to be 765 calories per serving. The struggle, friends. It's real and it's ugly.

Which person are you? Let me give you a hint on where I fall in this pie graph: PUMPKIN PIE! Give me all the pumpkin pie. Of course topped with cool whipped and served warmed. I can't tell you how much pie I've consumed in my 32 years. It's shameful, really but you can best bet when Fall arrives this year, I'll be indulging weekly on some pie. And if you don't like pie? We shouldn't be friends.

If you really now me... you know I'm the one that fools the world by wearing yoga pants on.the.daily. Lucky for me I have some pretty comfy flannel jammies courtesy of Old Navy so I now only wear my yoga pants when I'm awake. Should I explain my love for yoga pants? Hear me out: I have an active 2 year old and we go! go! go! and jeans just don't make moving quickly all that doable. And let's face it, yoga pants are comfortable and work with just about any comfy top I have.

Are you tackling weight loss in 2015? If so GOOOOD LUCK!! It's a tough and slow process at times but totally worth the end result. Feeding your body good, healthy foods. Feeling better, sleeping better and looking better. It's worth every single no thanks to empty calories and junk food!

Happy Friday, friends!

  6. So funny! The last picture sums up my life perfectly. I rock yoga pants and a t-shirt all day, and usually it's never because I was just on the treadmill haha.

  7. Bahahaha! I love me some fries. Like, I will eat all of mine, and then swipe Scott's too. #woof #oink
But for real, think of this as a LIFESTYLE not a DIET. I'll be your cheerlead all year long. You can do this, momma!

  9. I live in yoga pants and might or might not have walked with confidence through a store knowing people will wonder whether I just came from the gym... which I totally did not lol. I dread the days I have to go to my big girl job and actually put on jeans...

  10. I've been working on losing a bit of weight and toning up before the wedding. I honestly don't even eat that much junk food. I just eat large portions normally. But then I start a diet and all I was is junk food!
