My 2015 Reading List

Last year I was able to read 30 books and plan to do the same this year. When planning what books I would read, I decided to stick with just the ones I have on hand. I have over 20 books on my desk that need to be cracked open and devoured. Here is a list of the books I plan to read in 2015.

  1. True Colors by Kristin Hannah

  8. Silver Bay by Jojo Moyes
  9. Winter Garden by Kristin Hannah
  10. Crossed by Allie Condie
  11. Orphan Train by Christina Baker Kline

  19. Red Velvet Cupcake Murder by Joanne Fluke
  20. Three Wishes by Liane Moriarty
  21. Unbroken by Laura Hillenbrand
  22. Home Front by Kristin Hannah
  23. Reached by Ally Condie
Every single one of this novels I either have in paperback sitting on my desk or on my Kindle thanks to unbelievably cheap sales this past Christmas. You may notice repeat authors Jojo Moyes, Kristin Hannah and Liane Moriarty. If you haven't read anything by either of them DO SO! Start with Me Before You by Jojo. It's my favorite book of 2014. Firefly Lane by Hannah made me cry like a baby and tell my best friend how much I love her. And ya'll know I'm not one for mushy mushy. Liane Moriarty wrote The Husband's Secret and it really makes you think. I recommend them all!

Once I knock these out, which will take a good 8-9 months, I will then start looking for new ones to add to my list. Which books do you recommend for me to read? I love just about anything so any and all suggestions are welcomed!

  1. I've not heard of any of these authors, do you do reviews anywhere? Goodreads?

  2. I don't think I've read any of these, but Red Velvet Cupcake Murder sounds like a great title for a book! Haha! =)

  3. I read Big Little Lies and The Last Letter From Your Lover; I really liked both of them! JoJo Moyes and Liane Moriarty are my favorite authors - I want to check out The Ship of Brides and Three Wishes, I keep hearing great things about both of those books!

  4. Red Velvet Cupcake Murder? I have no idea what that is about but I would totally kill for a red velvet cupcake right now...

  5. I really like JoJo Moyers and Liane Moriarty. I did pretty good last year and was able to read a few books, I wish I had more time for reading but I'm too much of a t.v. addict. If I can read 5-6 a year that's good for me. Sad I know.

  6. I haven't heard of a lot of those, but Big Little Lies is on my to read list too :D

  7. I just finished Big Little Lies and LOVED it! I'm actually working on a review for it now. Great list!

  8. So many good books! I'm jealous! 30 is an ambitious list! I'm hoping to get through 5 books this year (up from the 2 I got through last year). If I only had more time!!!

  9. Some good ones in there! I spy Unbroken and Orphan Train. LOVED them both!!
Totally screen shotted this for future reads. :)

  10. Wow, I'm impressed you read 30 last year! I'm aiming low - 1 a month :)

  11. Kristin Hannah is one of my faves, and Big Little Lies is probably my favorite book I read last year. I'm trying to get back into it too - just starting The Vacationers.

  12. I just read big little lies and I LOVED it. It was so bad it was good and I read it in like two days.

Orphan train is a really great read also!

  13. I haven't actually heard of most of these books, but I've heard amazing things about Orphan Train!

  14. Big Little Lies is so good! I recommended it to my friend and she loved it! Heaven is for real will make you cry so have tissues handy! Some of these I am going to have too steal from your list! Good luck getting through this list this year!

  15. Some of my favorites include: The Average American Male by Chad Kultgen, Two Kisses for Maddy by Matt Logelin and The Age of Miracles by Karen Thompson Walker. I want to read Heaven is For Real, too. I hear it gives goose bumps. Good list!

  16. Winter Garden had me ugly crying. It was just sooo...hit you right there. I have a few of these on my list too! I'm impressed you have so many books! I'm a habitual library borrower.

  17. I just posted about what I've been reading lately and I've got snother post coming up in a few weeks about some of my reading plans for 2015! I love book lists. :)

I just saw several of Joanne Fluke's books at a used book sale! Have you read her before? Do you enjoy her books?

  18. I haven't heard of most of these, but have been meaning to read Unbroken! (I saw the movie last month and it was awesome!)

  19. Thanks so much for sharing these books! I am starting a book club over on my blog so these books will come in handy!

  20. You should bump up Winter Garden to first to read on your list! I just finished it! Soon good!
