Hump Day Confessions

With an image like the one above, who couldn't get on board of Melissa's Hump Day Confessions? Not only would I support anything with Channing's handsome mug on it but who doesn't love a little confessional? You all know I do! So let's get to it...

I confess...

... that while packing, for every 1 item I keep, I toss 2. We have far too much crap in this house and I'm hoping that doesn't bite me in the ass when 4 months from now James asks me where this or that is.

... I think of my next snack or meal all. day. long. Do all dieters do this or am I truly a struggling chubby girl?

... I am glad that Malcolm Black got his hands on Emily/Amanda. Don't know what I'm talking about? Consider yourself lucky. ABC's "Revenge" will be the DEATH of me. #alwaysfaithful

... that one of the most exciting parts of being back in OH is that I'll have a built in sitter in my parents. Coxy and I haven't had enough dates since being parents and that's all gonna change once we get settled in our home. THANKS MOM & DAD!

... when I see a photo of someone's all white home (especially a kitchen), I roll my eyes and cringe. How the Hell do you keep that in order when you have a child? I'm a fairly OCD person myself but there is no way I could handle all the white.

... I have 4 girlfriends that are pregnant right now and let me be very clear: you'll can keep on populating the country. You've all scared me right into the one and done category more than ever before. With your morning sickness, fatigue and swollen feet, I can't stress how happy I am to be a one and done Momma.

What's on your mind that you'd like to confess? Do share!

  1. YES! I a so with you on the DONE category. Everyone's all like "let's have a baby" and I'm all like HECK NO! Two and SO done for me. I can't even begin to tell you how many pregnant friends or just had a baby friends I have... it's more than 10.

I also couldn't agree more on the white kitchen. I thought about white cabinets and such when we were building our home and my husband said NO! So thankful he did.

The struggle is real. When I watch what I eat I am always hungry. ALWAYS.

  2. I am envious of your keep 1 toss 2 system. I don't know if I could ever do that!

  3. I agree with you on Channing! Lol! You are not alone in thinking about your next meal...sadly I do the same thing! It's crazy, I hate dieting! Ha! Omg!! I 100% agree about the all white!!! How DO they keep it clean?? It's beyond me! I mean, don't get me wrong..I think it's pretty but that is far to much work for me! Ha!

  4. Seriously! Your "keep 1 toss 2 system" is awesome! I need to do that and For real. Pregnancy is no joke! I'd like to say I'm done, but in reality, I will probably cave. Haha! But i couldn't bear the thought of going through pregnancy again anytime soon. I'm pretty sure I'd die! ( I have a 4 month old and a two and a half year old)

  5. I always think about food! I don't know if it's just because I like to know what I am doing with my day, so I know when to eat or what. But Justin gets annoyed with me when we are eating lunch, & I ask him what we are having for dinner!

  7. Goodness yes! An all white couch?! WTH? How? My mind cannot wrap around that. And one and done? For sure for sure? or do you think you might change your mind later? I was in the 'one and done' mindset for a while...but right now I have baby fever like a mad woman.

  8. Preparing for moving has sure made me purge! I can't wait for when the real packing happens and we can reallly get rid of stuff. So refreshing!

  9. I love seeing pictures of the all-white homes. It would be SO neat to have white couches! So easy to decorate and such. And then I spill soup down the front of my white shirt, and come back to reality. Plus, with 3 larges dogs who think they're human. No. I'll keep looking at the pictures and yearning, though. -Dorrie @ Bear Den Plantation

  10. Visiting from the linkup, and that's so funny, a "one and done mommy". Too cute! And thank goodness for a built in sitter! I'd be pretty stoked about that too!

  11. I finally watched Revenge last night and I can't wait to see how Amanda gets out of this one.

I feel the same about white kitchens. I love the look but so impratical right now.

I want to throw out pretty much everything we have in our basement right now.

  12. I pretty much plan my whole day every day around my meals and snacks(pregnant or no) so, yeah.

I'm in major purge mode. I can't imagine if I was moving too. I'd be like TOSS IT ALL

  14. I think about food often. I love it. I take photos of it. Food makes me happy. And not always healthy foods either.

  15. I just find the white to be boring. But totally hello look at my messes. It points to all the flaws! Whatever floats your cleaning all the time boat I suppose.
When on any type of diet than totally. If I don't have the next eating planned it will be bad.

  16. I'm constantly thinking about my next meal so don't feel bad. I'm hoping this subsides the longer I implement my lifestyle changes because damn - pizza is on the brain all day every day. And you know my feelings on an all white kitchen: DUMB. XOXO

  17. Our kitchen cabinets are white. And while I love how they look I can honestly say I have absolutely no idea how the hell it stays that way… I think Scott wipes them all down each night after I've passed out.
And, that last confession - bahahahaha!!

  18. i love love love color but lately i have been really into all white. i don't know if i could keep it clean even without kids, but i do love the crispness of it.

  19. I should go through my entire house with the keep one thing and toss two mentality -- I would benefit greatly from that! Things have a tendency to get too cluttered and it stresses me out. Ugh. I follow a gal who blogs who has the most pristine and gorgeous white-themed house. It is seriously beautiful but I have no idea how she keeps it so clean looking. I can't stand even having white walls due to dirty hand prints.

  20. Haha, I have the opposite problem…whenever I see pregnant people I get all soft and gooey and want another baby! I don't even enjoy pregnancy, but the excitement of it all…and the NEW BABY - it's the best!. I'd have a million if we could afford it!
We have a white kitchen - it's not hard to keep clean. No more so than any other kitchen. Now a white couch? I don't understand THAT at all!
