oh hey FRIDAY!

It's been a while since there's been a linkup that allows us bloggers to be totally random, if not slightly pointless. Sometimes, okay often times, I have thoughts I want to share but they are just that. Thoughts. They don't really take up enough space for an entire blog post so it's nice when you get to be random, share some things and walk away with a fun post. Enter "oh hey FRIDAY!"

 Details on the linkup can be found here

Not only is it August but the first week of this brand new month is already behind us. Say what? I have so much planned for the rest of the year and little to no time to waste. Time really speeds up as you get older doesn't it?

{TWO}
Mid week, we spent the morning with friends and my girlfriend chauffeured us around, giving Connor the chance to spend time with his best friend Dyllan. Theses two are a hoot! They sang songs, mimicked each other and screamed together. Connor loves spending time with Dyllan and constantly asks if she is going to come "pay" with him. Their friendship is just too sweet.

My best friend back home starts preschool this month. Yeah, you read that right. Macie has been the apple of my eye for so long and being away from here these last 19 months has been heartbreaking. I love my girl and I'm looking forward to her telling me all about her days at school. You can fall in love with Macie here, here and with this photo...

Summer has finally arrived here in Texas and quiet frankly, I was hoping it was going to take this year off. I'm ready for all things Fall. I will admit that Texas doesn't really give me the Fall I know and love but cooler temperatures and all thing pumpkin, football and holidays, sign me up! Because let's face it, Fall brings with it birthdays, Halloween, Thanksgiving and then the grandest month of all... December.

Prayers are finally getting answered around these parts and the Mister is on a traveling freeze for the remainder of the year. Obviously this means more Coxy in our lives but let's face it, no more single parenting for this Momma. Now, to pack our weeks/weekends full of family fun. You game JC?

Happy weekend!

  3. That's great that your hubby will be around more. Kristian doesn't travel for work but once fall hits it's hunting season and he's gone a lot on the weekends which kinda sucks.

  5. You're right, time really does speed up the older you get, it's so sad and it especially gets faster when you become a parent xo

  9. I, for one, LOVE random posts. You always find out something fun and exciting about the blogger; so it's a total win-win. You little man is too cute, and I'm glad he had fun with his little friend; hopefully she gets to come "pay" again soon. ;)

    I'm pretty sure that time is moving the same speed as always (duh), but as we get older we just notice it more and it makes us more sad. I came to this realization earlier today, because it makes me sad sometimes how fast the time flies by. But when you're a little tot you don't care that we're already 8 months into the year (ALREADY?!) just that you get to have a PB&J for lunch.

    I hope you have a great weekend Stephanie.

    1. Connor's world is so small that time doesn't really have an importance to him and I want to keep it that way as long as I can.

  12. LOVE that your husband will be home. I don't know how you moms do it without your husbands! My husband barely travels, thank God!! My daughter is very easy going but still around 4-5pm I'm checking the clock and can't wait for my husband to be home!

  13. aww I love your photos. I'm glad that your other half is back for the remainder of the year. And Texas, wow, y'all have had a ton of bad storms this year, already, right? Or maybe you're used to it, but it keeps catching my attention. Sending love to you and yours. Tiffany @ DaydreamingRealist.com

    1. It's been reported that we've had a rough storm season BUT I'm from Ohio so this isn't really bad in my opinion.

  14. I am also soooo ready for fall. Florida doesn't have much in the way of season changes, but we do get cooler temps. Our time from Sept to Dec. usually flies by due to so many birthdays and family get-togethers. I wish I could freeze time!
