Currently

Jenna, founder of A Mama Collective, has a weekly linkup "Currently" that allows us to share what's going on in our world. More than anything, I enjoy being given a handful of writing prompts and being able to just write, allowing whatever comes to mind escape and walking away with a simple post.

Thinking about ... the fact that Connor was a monster yesterday but has been fabulously sweet and well behaved today. The highs and lows of parenting are extreme. The hard days with him are tough to manage more so than ever because they aren't often and I know it's just a drop in the bucket of all we will experience as his Mom and Dad. But damn! Some days I find myself telling Dean to expect a 26 pound package on her doorstep. Momma can only handle so much and like all humans, I run short on patience, too.

Reading ... What Alice Forget. I'm midway through the book and so far so good. I can't say it's one I would recommend but it's a easy Summer read and gets me one book closer to my goal of 30 books read this year.

Thankful for ... the ability to help those in need. A family member needed school supplies for her little boy and James insisted that we get him what he needed and ship it to them in Ohio. Not that I don't want to help others but sometimes I feel like we say yes or lend a hand more than we say no. Regardless, I know that Bobby will get to go to school prepared for the 2nd grade with a super kickass Spiderman book bag.

Photographing ... life as a boy Mom. Our days are 100% all boy. From trains and trucks to burps and toots, we have our fair share of testosterone around here and maybe then some. I mean, I am the only female in the house. Even the animals are male. And we can't forget the rocks. Rocks. All. The. Time.

Loving ... all the plans we have coming up this fall. If you've been around WMM you know I'm huge into the holidays, especially Fall. Our calendar is getting packed full of fabulous play dates and I can't wait to make memories with our family, friends and my girlfriends.

What are you CURRENTLY ... thinking about ... reading ... thankful for ... photographing ... loving... ??

I totally understand what you mean by running short of patience. I have 3 kids and some days I truly feel like I might go insane
