Summer Bucket List Week 6: Beach/Sand Fun

Week 1: Water Fun
Week 5: Picnic
Complete Summer Bucket List is located HERE

A couple weeks ago, a girlfriend invited us to a new water park called Hawaiian Falls. As daunting as the idea of tackling a water park solo with Connor is, I thought if a day at the pool doesn't wear him out and allow me to have a couple hours of me time, nothing will.

In between the wave pool and the lazy river, we had the time. of. our. lives. Connor has never been afraid of water and today was no different. He was fearless. When we needed a break from the water, we headed to the Breaker Beach for some fun in the sand.

Connor hasn't always been a huge fan of sand. He says "dirty dirty" when it sticks to his hands and "meshy meshy" when it covers his legs and feet. As he had gotten older, he has grown to enjoy playing with the sand.

Connor is the baby in his group of friends. Most of them still refer to him as Baby Connor. Which melts my heart. Because let's face it, he will always be the baby. Colt and Dyllan are a bit older than Connor but play so well with him. They are always willing to share and entertain him. We are blessed to have such great friends here in ATX.

Getting 3 little ones to look at the camera and smile? Nearly impossible. Dyllan isn't smiling, Colt is looking away smiling and Connor... well, he is a picture taking pro!

3 and a half hours later, with sun kissed skin and tired little ones, a day at the water park and some time in the sand is in the books. Memories made and good times had!

  1. oooh now this is fun! I'd be daunted to take Aria to a water park too, even though I think she'd enjoy it. I think I'd be a nervous wreck. Hopefully I'd get over it. Sounds like Connor had a blast! A great day with friends.

    1. We are headed back this week and I know that as tiring a day at the water park with C is, it's so worth it while we are there. He has so much fun!

    1. It helps break up the water fun. Since I have to keep a close eye on Connor, it's nice to have him playing on dry land where he is much safer.

  4. The thought of this intimiates me too even though I think Callie would love it like Mr. C. Maybe I'll put my big girl mom pants on and do it yet this summer! He looks so handsome in his swim trunks and playing in the sand. So the million dollar question - did you get an awesome nap from all this fun?!

    1. It's huge for a water park. Far too big for just me and C but really, he had the best time so it was worth all the don'ts, watch out and listen to Mommas".

  7. My problem? I would want to try out all the attractions for myself ;-)
