Christmas in July Gift Exchange

It's not news that I love all things Christmas. So when Jenny and Courtney put together a Christmas in July gift exchange, there was no way I would miss the opportunity to get into the Christmas spirit.

I had the pleasure of shopping for Maddie, daughter to Courtney at Shiraz In My Sippy Cup. Can I say that shopping for a little girl is tough? I mean, the clothing section alone can suck tons of time (and MONEY) from you if you aren't careful. The best part of getting paired with Maddie is that today is her birthday so I bought a little extra in honor of her 3rd birthday. Happy Birthday Maddie!

Connor couldn't have asked for a better Christmas in July Santa than Desiree from Macke Monologues. Desiree and I are on our way to being IRL friends and having her shop for CJ Frankenstein was just the best coincidence.

Desiree truly picked the best of Connor's favorite things. Our little guy is crazy about George and Mickey so the DVD and lunch box have been played and enjoyed so much since getting our package. The fruit snacks and "ish" as C calls them are long gone. No food is safe when CJ is around. Connor has recently discovered the joy of stickers and when I say joy, I mean they get applied to any and all surfaces. Needless to say, I've put the ones Momma Macke sent us up for later use.

It's safe to say Connor's favorite part of his Christmas in July gift is his Mickey box. He has used to it hold his crayons, his most loved Elmo and discovered it makes for a great coaster.

Thank you so much for the wonderful gifts Desiree and family. There is nothing that makes Connor happier than snail mail from his family and friends. A box of goodies just for him? Consider his day made!

  6. Using the lunch box for crayons. Never even occurred to me. Obviously that's what we're going to start using it for, too.
Glad Frankenstein liked his goodies! :)
