Losing The No-reply Blogger Title

One of my favorite Blogger tasks to do is reply to the comments that are sent to me on each day's post. One of my least favorite things is when I got to reply to a fan's comment only to discover they are a No Reply Comment Blogger. Whomp whomp! I bet you don't even know you're part of that group. The reason this is an issue is simple. Even though you are able to leave a comment, I'm unable to reply which then causes you to think the blogger doesn't read or care about your thoughts. And that just isn't the case. No need to fret though. I've done all the leg work on solving this blogging dilemma. Here is how you can check to see if you are a no-reply blogger.

16 Steps To Ending Your Existence as a no-reply blogger
(Yes there are 16 steps... blame Blogger, not me)

  1. Go to your Blogger dashboard
  2. Click on the gear in the upper right hand corner
  3. Choose "Revert to Blogger Profile"
  4. Click on "Switch to a limited Blogger Profile"
  5. Fill out "Display Name"
  6. Click on "Continue to Blogger
  7. Go back to the Blogger dashboard
  8. Click on your name in the upper right hand corner
  9. In the drop down box click on "Blogger Profile"
  10. Click on "Edit Profile" in the upper right hand corner
  11. Check the box "Show my Email Address"
  12. Click on "Save Profile" at the bottom of the page
  13. Go back to your blogs dashboard
  14. On the next page click on "Upgrade to Google+"
  15. Connect to Google+
  16. Click on "Switch Now"
And there you have it. Now every time you comment on a blog, the blogger can reply to your message by reaching you through the email address you've provided.

  1. Interesting! I use Disqus, but I have noticed that others must be using this because I receive replies this way from other blogs I follow.

  2. Hmm... I always allowed others to see my email address before and received replies. I wonder if when switching to Google Plus if it hides your email again. Thanks for sharing this. I'm glad I double checked to make sure I wasn't a no-reply blogger, because apparently I was!

  3. I have had to do this twice. The first time I didn't know better and the second time it had reverted back to no-reply for some strange reason...

So bummed when I can't email back a commenter. Thanks for sharing! I email ppl how-tos all the time when they comment a couple times on my blog and are no-reply-ers.

  10. Thank you! One of my biggest pet peeves is not being able to reply to people when I want to! #SITSBlogging

  11. What about people who aren't on blogger?

My biggest commenting pet peeve is that SO many websites don't allow you to subscribe to just replies to your comment. You have to get email notifications of everyone's replies or none. I don't want everyone's replies in my inbox, so I never see people's replies to my comments.

  12. Wow, thank you for sharing! I am still learning the ropes so this helps a lot. You would think commenting and responding would be simple and effortless, but apparently not!

  13. Its such as you read my thoughts! You appear to grasp so much about this, like you wrote the
e-book in it or something. I think that you simply can do with
some p.c. to drive the message home a bit, but
other than that, this is fantastic blog. A great read.
    I'll definitely be back.

  15. What the heck i just read? The 1st matter is to consult your
doctor prior to using this product. The extract of Forskolin can be purchased such as capsules and
products and talking to a doctor will give you you a clear
knowledge of the fact that will it fit your preferences or not.
This product usually fits the needs of all of
the people but differences are usually there. So, you might want to make certain you are definitely not normally the one
which are unable to work with this solution. Essential thing is
concerning the medication dosage. It is advisable to ask your physician concerning the
consumption and be special regarding it authentic Forskolin.
WOW.Nice read here. The real step to precisely how the
product works is that it can be a dual action diet product, meaning that it works as an appetite reducing drug as well as a "fat burner".
This actually ensures that it oxidizes fat skin cells by using anti-oxidants,
and that ends in even more energy for you - but only when you know how to take authentic Forskolin in the
ideal manner. Many diet supplements on the market are created near reving up your metabolic rate, which can be not really risk-free for many - and this
is the reason why a lot of people are deciding to purchase Forskolin extract instead.
