17 Months - 3.30.14

If I had to pick one word to sum up your last month, it would be INDEPENDENT. You are such a strong willed little man. You throw fits and scream some big screams if we try to help you and you don't think our assistance is warranted. It's easier said than done but we try to step back and let you do things for yourself.

At the current moment, tooth #14 has broke the surface while 15 & 16 are about to pop through any minute. I think the amount of teething you've been doing this week explains some of the rough moments we had along with your inability to sleep at nights. I'll be the first to admit that once these teeth are in, I'll be happy to wait for your 2 year molars until your 5. #seriously

You have picked up the picky eating habit and it's been rough getting you to eat anything more than cheese and fruit. Some days are better than others but you are gaining weight so there isn't a need to worry. We have switched you from Vitamin D milk to almond milk due to your constant runny nose. It's been 3 days and I can already see a difference. I am not sure if you have a full blown milk allergy but it's safe to say you have a lactose sensitivity.

Your sense of humor is out of control these days. When you burp, you give a hearty belly laugh followed by another forced burp. You are all boy, for sure. You have taken to covering your mouth with you hand when you think find something to be hilarious. When your feelings get hurt or you don't like this or that, you'll cover your mouth and give a fake little cry. I will fake laugh just to get you to laugh with me. The amount of happy in your little body amazes me.

Plain and simple, Connor J, you fill our lives with laughter, sass and so much pride. You make such an impact on every one you meet. Honestly, you are the bright light in so many people's worlds. Keep being amazing little guy; we wouldn't want it any other way.

We love you,
Momma and Papa Daddy

  2. That is an awesome photo of him! Gotta love the want for independence! Every kid is different but for us moodiness and teether are totally linked! The 2 year molars are plaguing us - thankfully they are almost all fully in!

  3. Henry had a sensitivity to certain dairy (including milk) for awhile, but he soon grew out of it. Hopefully the same with ring true for Connor.
