Just Pearlz - Accessories for Every Lady

I am very simple when it comes to what jewelry I wear. I'm fairly plain, really. So when LaNette offered to share some beautiful pieces of jewelry for every type of accessory fan, I was thrilled to hear her suggestions. Be sure to visit Just Pearlz to find one of a kind pieces for every style and budget.

My love for accessorizing started when I was in college and honestly at the time I really care about fashion or accessories. While in college, I noticed that I could literally clutch and play with my pearls during my presentations and I wouldn't get counted off on my project grade. It was at that moment that pearls became my best friends. Also wearing and playing with pearls during my speaking engagements keep me from fumbling over my words. So I guess I can honestly say that I learned how to use pearls to dress up any outfit in college. However as a kid, I have to admit my grandmother's accessories did catch my eye a time or two.

Here are my two cents on jewelry:

For a person with little or no fashion sense, I suggest basic vintage pieces. I love vintage jewelry for beginners. Wearing vintage accessories tend to be less work for beginners and it doesn't require the headache of attempting to match the jewelry pieces. Vintage jewelry matches any outfit. Just put it on and magic appears.

For more of a classier or a look for night time, I suggest gold jewelry or a strand of pearls. More of the choker type pearls.

For a casual or daytime look, I suggest beaded or silver jewelry.

For formal events, I always choose statement pieces.

For those of you that feel the urge to be a jewelry connoisseur, remember to wear ten or more accessories all at the same time. It's sounds difficult but most people do it daily. If for some reason you are totally against the idea of wearing jewelry, remember to live it up with a simple pair of earring or a nice hair accessory. As a jewelry expert, I think that a person could wear pearls with any outfit but that's just my opinion.

So what type of jewelry person are you?

  1. I only wear earrings.. One day I hope to strive to dress up and accessorize like those women on TV or those country club women... I just have all these kids I have no time or desire... I actually have a desire but I'm just so tired.

  2. I'm not a big jewelry wearin' momma during the work week (what goes with flannel jammies?!), but when I go out, I do like a little something.

  3. Being a homeschool mom of 3, I don't usually wear more than just earrings. But when I get dressed up, I like wearing vintage pieces.

  4. As a mommy to a wild toddler, I rarely wear jewelry. But I am a vintage type of person...my wedding rings are very vintage looking too!

  5. I'm very boring when it comes to jewelry: I have pearls for dressier occasions (and they're vintage, so they're yellowish instead of white) and wear either Henry's birthstone necklace or the cross necklace Jeremy bought me 99% of the other times. Add my wedding rings, a pair of earrings, and my Pandora bracelet and that's me every single day. If I work, I switch out the bracelet for a watch.

  6. I think statement pieces work 99.9% of the time!! Sometimes I even find that if a top or outfit does not lend itself to me wearing a statement piece I wear that outfit less. I LOVE jewelry!! Thanks for recommending this place, would love that last statement piece or that gold chain with the big pearl on it, so pretty!!!!!

  7. I love Jewelry!! From the "play"/costume jewelry to the real deal. They're a great way to liven up any outfit. Nice picks!

  8. Hi, my name is Dawn and I'm a jewelry-a-holic. YES love it.
My favorite is the first piece, the bracelet. Gorgeous

  9. Ten accessories every day!?! Geez. Do flip flops and a bra count as accessories? I tried to get up to ten today and only made it up to 6 (wedding ring, another ring, earrings, necklace, and a bracelet). Adding any more than 6 accessories made me feel like my 5 year old daughter, who typically wears around 29 accessories at a time.
