15 Months & 12 Days

15 months and 12 days ago, I laid eyes on your for the very first time, touched your sweet little face with hands that craved to feel you for oh so long. You changed our entire world in a split second. You come in like a storm and have been the center of our universe ever since.

I walked into the hospital on October 29th expecting the most simple of delivers only to labor for 26 hours and bring you into the world via unplanned (and unwanted) c-section. It's no surprise that you have been a stubborn, set in your ways little man. You've been that way since we 'forced' you to entire the world on October 30, 2012 at 8:02PM.

It might have been a rocky introduction but your feisty demeanor has shaped and molded me into the person I am today, someone who knows what it feels like to love someone unconditionally without a second thought. Thanks to your spunky attitude, I've learned how to be patient, how to love someone with every fiber of my being and to believe in myself enough to know I'm the very best Momma for you.

Of course, before I was your Momma, parenting was simple and I had it all figured out. That's always the case when you're on the outside looking in. I knew the right way to discipline, how you would always look polished and put together and how you would never throw a fit or embarrass me in public. I also believed parenthood would be like any one of Johnson and Johnson's commercials. Boy, did I have a lot to learn. And fast.

It's been a wild ride, Connor J. You have pushed every boundary, made me cry with complete joy and frustration and caused your Momma and Daddy Papa to love like we never knew we were capable of.

15 months and 12 days ago you turned our world upside down and we have loved every single chaotic minute of it.
