New Years Inspiration | 2014BloggerChallenge

A couple weeks ago, I came across Gaby's Blog and decided to join the 2014 Blogger Challenge. The New Year is a time for resolutions and starting fresh so with that in mind Gaby came up with the #2014bloggerchallenge. The challenge is to write a post twice a month about different topics. The topic ideas, which are provided to the 400+ member group by Gaby, are there to give you new ideas and encourage you to write about things you wouldn't normally write about.

Our topic for the first post of the #2014BloggerChallenge is going to be "New Years Inspiration". The idea is to share a quote or a picture that inspires you and you think will inspire others in the New Year.

Simple enough, right? Twenty fourteen is my chance to start fresh. Get a second shot to work on things I failed to accomplish or pretended not notice in 2013. I'm not going to list all my wishes and goals again. You can find those here. But what I am going to do is believe in myself. Believe that I can accomplish any goal I set for myself. The only thing holding me back is the person I see when I look in the mirror.

James and I sat down on New Year's Eve and discussed a few things we wanted to work on together as a family and separately as well. The four areas we plan to focus on are:

 OUR HEALTH
OUR FINANCES
OUR RELATIONSHIP WITH GOD
CREATING A YEAR OF FAMILY MEMORIES

Throughout the next 363 days, I hope to share with you our triumphs along with your moments of complete failure. Yes, failure. As much as I hope to be successful in each area listed, I know there will be times when we fail. When obstacles get in the way. That's life, right? But we will pick ourselves up, dust off the hurt and pain and move forward and give it one more shot.

It just takes one step forward, every single day to say you're making progress.

    1. I think of our blog as our family journal and I tend to put it all out there so it's a personal journal as well. Good luck with your writing.
