My Piece of Grace

As we start the new year, I can't help but to think of areas of my life I would like to improve. My list of self improvements is much longer than my 5' 1" body but that's another post for another day. When I sit and think of what I'm missing, I can't help but think that I wish I had more grace. Not the light on my toes type of grace, although that could be helpful too. More like having the ability to move through life in a graceful way. When I think of one person in my life that showcases the grace I wish I had, I always think of my dear girlfriend Tracy.

If you know Tracy, you know how kind her soul is. How big her heart is. How she gracefully maneuvers through any situation placed before her with kindness and an open mind. Often times, I can only see the negative side of things in a situation as I'm much more cynical. While Trace is a realist, she always sees the silver lining and has faith that things will work out as God has planned. Her ability to forgive and to love deeply only shows how she gives grace to those that mean so much to her. Both our hearts are too big and giving. I'm very emotional and it's usually a messy emotional where as T handles her emotions, thoughts and reactions with grace and control. Often times, I'm frazzled, with this or that going on here and there, wondering how to move through the day with a little more finesse. Any time we are with Tracy, her calm demeanor shines through as she eases herself into any environment or situation with complete grace.

When thinking of who in my life showcases grace flawlessly, I can't help but know Tracy is the perfect example. And when she reads this, she will modestly deny my praises. Not only is she my little piece of daily grace, but she is my constant reminder of how lucky I am that God places what you need in your life when you need it. Additionally, it's not lost on me that her first niece is named Grace. Coincidence? I think not.

  9. How beautiful! Tracy sounds like such a lovely person! I also admire those in my life that handle things much more gracefully than I do. It's also great that she is a realist, yet sees the silver lining and trusts in God's ultimate plan! Thanks for linking up with us, Stephanie!
