5 on Friday

Happy Friday! I couldn't wait for Friday to roll around this week. The mister came home last night after being in OKC since Monday and the weekend is looking beautiful weather wise so I'm hoping for lots of family time outside. This will be the first weekend all 3 of us are healthy so I'm going to make the most of it!

Be sure to linkup with Darci and the ladies to share your 5 on Friday.

{ONE}
Speaking of AHHHMAZING weather, it's awfully hard to hate on Texas when this is the weather in January.

 It is January, right? We are not used to such great temperatures in "winter". Back home, the highest it will get in the next 5 days is 34. Thanks, but no thanks. Ya'll keep the cold temps! I'll regret rubbing in how great the weather is now when it's 100+ degrees this summer.

{TWO}
My first book club meeting is this weekend and I can't wait to discuss our first novel, Me Before You. It's such a good book and I'm excited to answer the questions I've gathered with some fellow book lovers. As much as a geek this will make me sound, putting the group together, researching great novels to read and compiling a list of discussions questions was FUN for me. I enjoyed the project and am looking forward to watching our club grow and learn together through the novels we read.

{THREE}
One of my all time favorite novels/series has been made into a Lifetime movie and it's premiering tomorrow evening!

Flowers in the Attic! Did you read the series as a teen? It was so sexual and risque. I'm shocked I was allowed to read it. If only my parents knew! While I'm not usually a Lifetime movie kind of girl, I'm thrilled to see what they do with the movie.

{FOUR}
Today starts a 8 week workout and Bible study program at our church. I love the idea of combining the two. Not only am I working on myself physically but spiritually as well. Getting Connor and I both ready and out the door by 9AM is going to be quiet the task but well worth the hustle and bustle.

{FIVE}
Every day Connor and I walk to the mailbox. It's not a very far walk but he really enjoys the big boy job of getting the mail. This week, on the way back I snapped this sweet photo of him talking and pointing to his shadow.

When did he get so big? And how can I make it stop? Our sweet little guy is so independent and outgoing. He is 100% all boy and likes to do things on his own because that's what big boys do. The days at home with Connor are sometimes long and always trying but this little guy is well worth the dark circles and early mornings.

Enjoy your weekend and be sure to check my first Saturday Blogger Spotlight post tomorrow!

    1. I swear my Mom knew what was in those books. Maybe that was how she pulled off the sex talk ;)

  4. I may be the only person in Ohio who is still LOVING the cold weather. All the snow days Henry and I have enjoyed outdoors lately are so worth it.

  8. I love that you walk with him to the mailbox! What a great idea. I'm always trying to stop really quick and hop out of the car but a quick little "big kid" walk is genius! :)
