So What! Wednesday

It's been a while since I've hooked up with Shannon for So What! Wednesday so let's give that a go today

... we leave for Ohio for Christmas tomorrow and I have yet to think of what I should pack let alone actually pack. I've always waited last minute and I don't see why I should change that about myself now.

... I will be shopping on the 20th and 23rd for Christmas presents for 90% of the folks we are buying for. Nothing says last minute like shopping the weekend before Christmas.

... being home with my family and friends is worth the pain of packing, flying with a toddler, shopping last minute and dealing with the Ohio cold.

... cooking dinner has been challenging as of late. I'm just not in the mood for anything and don't want to put any effort into planning, grocery shopping and then cooking.

... the Santa Connor visited last weekend was the most ghetto setup ever. But like the Christmas lovin' fool my boy is, he smiled when we snapped a photo of him and the Jolly One. I am looking forward to taking him to see a much better Santa and getting a real photo.

... we've only had 2 ornament causalities this year and I consider that a win in my book.

... James' work may be going on a cruise in the Spring and I could possibly go IF I wanted to leave Connor with my parents for a week. Just thinking about it makes me sick to my stomach. A week away from our boy? I can't handle the notion.

  3. I'm a last minute shopper, too. I don't know if I could leave my youngest for an entire week. I'd probably end up miserable the entire time.

  7. I felt the same about leaving Hunter for 5 days when I went to the Caymans. It was surprisingly easier than I thought it would be. I missed him terribly but being toddler free for a few days was a wonderful break. I say GO!

  8. I don't think I could ever be a last minute shopper. My mom is and it makes me crazy just listening to her running around at the last minute.

  10. Just think how refreshed you will be after you've been on the cruise. Plus the grands will spoil him and soak up all that time with him. It could be great for all of you. :)

  11. Today, Twitter reminded me there's only a few days till Christmas and I have yet to shop. I know what I'll be doing Friday after work. The cruise sounds like a blessin' and a curse.

  12. I'm terrible about packing too! And that's too funny about the ghetto Santa- I visited one too. I was driving past a Walgreens and the sign said "Santa's here! Stop in for a free picture!" So I thought what the hell and went in with my 2.5 year old daughter. Yeah the "Santa" was a 20 year old possible meth addict with the cheapest, fake costume I've ever seen. My daughter FLIPPED OUT and now I have a terrible, blurry picture of her laying on the floor crying in front of this weirdo with half the Walgreens photo center in the background!
