A Toddler's War Against The Camera (and Mom)

I'll be the first to admit that I took a lot of photos of CJ. If I'm going to be honest, a lot doesn't really do the shear volume of photos I have of him justice. On any given day, I snap a handful of photos of him with my phone and at least 3 times a week, I break out my Canon Rebel to snap photos of better quality. My IG feed is 99.9% of the time Connor. Last week, I snagged some EPIC FIT THROWING photos of Connor.

I was attempting to get a cute photo of C touching the tree, while showcasing a canvas photo of him from last Christmas. Very Pinteresty, right? Needless to say, Connor wasn't having it. All he wanted was the Mickey Mouse ornament his Aunt Tracy gave him last year. Being told no, while being "forced" to look at the tree caused someone to get his size 4 Pampers in a bunch. Let's take a look, shall we?

On a scale of 1-10, 10 being worse fit thrown thus far in Connor's short 13 months of life, this would be a 23. Serious. And in full disclosure, I wasn't helping matters any. While taking photos of this meltdown, I was laughing so hard. He would stop crying look at me and flip out again when I wouldn't give him what he wanted. He was testing me. The first of many exams, I'm sure.

In the end, both of us won our wars.
I got a cute photo and if you look closely at Connor, you'll see Mickey tucked away in his sweet little hand.

  1. Ahahaha this is hilarious and adorable! And I think you just gave me a glimpse into my future....G is just now getting to the age where he protests a little if I take something away or won't give him something. Looks like so much fun! Haha :)

  3. Love this. The things we do for a great picture. Why. Can't they just cooperate. I have a fun melt down memory of trying to get bluebonnet pictures one year. My littlest refused to get near the flowers.

  5. They swing from high to low, don't they? Our almost 3 year old used to love having her picture taken, but now it's like it's painful for her! Except this morning when she asked me to take her picture. Funny!

  6. OH MY STARS!!!! You should definitely keep this photo and show it to CJ when he's older. I love the one with drool dripping out of his mouth, he's so adorable yet so upset. HAHAHA This is classic. Merry Christmas to all of you. =)

  7. Hahaha, freaking HILARIOUS! All of us can relate, that's for sure! I haven't gotten a smiling, posed picture of J in months...they're all action shots these days! Whatever works.

  8. Oh momma, this is the first of MANY!
Is it bad I sometimes find the fit-throwing-photos more awesome than the smiley ones??
