2013 in Review - Part 2

Part one of my 2013 year in review can be found here.

What song will always remind you of 2013? Blurred Lines. I'm shaking my head as I type this. It's my husband's ring tone and of course, I'll never forget our girl Miley making this song something much more than I ever thought it could be. Meow.

Compared to this time last year, are you: Happy. Last year, we had just moved to Texas and I was overwhelmed with the idea of being in a new place with a (nearly) newborn baby. It was just so surreal to me that I was actually living in Texas.

Happier or sadder? Happier. Hands down. We've made ourselves at home in the south and although it's not the ideal situation sometimes, it's home and I'm with my guys and I am loved by so many. I have a good life.

Thinner or fatter? This time last year, I was recovering from having a baby in October so I think I would say I'm a bit thinner but far from thin.

Richer or poorer? I don't have a job.. so poorer! Ha!

What do you wish you’d done more of? Focus on me while taking care of the guys and our home.

What do you wish you’d done less of? Eat. Being home all day has caused me to be a grazer. I eat all day long and it has caught up with me.

How will you be spending Christmas? We are going to Ohio to spend the holiday with our families and friends.

Did you fall in love in 2013? Nope. My heart is equally taken by my two fellas.

How many one-night stands? No.

Who were your best friends? RL: Tracy, Kari, Kristin and Sarah. Blog: Danielle and Nicole

What thing did you do that was meaningful to others? James and I provided the airfare for our niece and nephew to come visit this summer. They had never been to Texas and really enjoyed themselves. We also made a huge effort in going home to visit as much as possible. All in all, we will have visited Ohio 4 times this year.

What were your favorite TV programs? I am a die hard fan of The Real Housewives of New Jersey, Scandal and Revenge. I like Big Brother, Mob Wives and Nashville as well. And I can't forget Sid the Science Kid, Henry Hugglemonster and Mickey Mouse Clubhouse.

Do you hate anyone now that you didn’t hate this time last year? Hate is such a strong word, isn't it? There are a handful of people that have left me with little other than hate through their poor choices and stupid actions over the last year. Dwelling on hating them is pointless. I just move past them and their unfortunate decisions.

  1. I always enjoy getting to know the person on the other side of the screen. We moved to Texas 12 years ago from Iowa. It's definitely a change ;)

  2. Welcome to Texas! I was born and raised here, so it's all I know, but I love it. I also love a lot of the same shows that you watch. I don't know if I will be able to wait until February for Revenge to come back on.

  3. LOVE your response to the last question.
Merry Christmas! Be sure to give C a big squeeze from M and me.
