Short Hair, Don't Care

I typically don't make spur of the moment decisions. I am a planner. I think things through, weigh the pros and cons.

All that went out the window on Saturday.

I have a love/hate relationship with my hair. At times, it's exactly what I want it to be, long, thick and healthy, and I love it. Then there are times when it's a complete nightmare and it takes everything in me not to shave my head.

Recently, I found myself hating my hair. I think the majority of the hate stemmed from the fact that I had a hair cut that wasn't exactly to my liking. I was given a lot more layers than I wanted and I had asked for a middle part and was given a half middle part, half side part. What? Right!

Saturday, I got in to the owner of the salon. I had emailed Friday, after hours, to see if I could get it first thing Saturday morning because my hair was THAT BAD. I felt like it was do or die. At times, I'm pretty dramatic.

I walked in with this...

And walked out looking like this...

Come to find out, my hair had more layers on one side than the other and had been thinned out on just one side. What the hell?? Although, I lost more hair than I would have liked, it's been nice having a good hair cut along with one that is easy to manage.

Luckily for me, my hair grows pretty quickly so if I want long hair again, I'll have it in no time.

  2. I didn't realize your hair was that long! It's always nice to get a good cut and get all the dead ends off. I think it looks great.

    1. I always wore it up so even James was shocked to see how long it has gotten in the comparison photo.
