Make It "You"

I wanted to spice up Wife Mommy Me with a little facelift and some blog bling. A new design, a signature, a grab button and a finally, social media icons. I'm sure all the changes don't surprise any of my followers who have been around since the CMC days. CMC? you ask. That was my first blog title - Creating Mrs. Cox.

I could find lots of pros who would be able to do this (and much more) but I wanted to see if I could do it myself. And I could. And I did.

First, the blog design is a Blogger template, with some customization on the colors and fonts. Simple enough. For the other improvements I made, I just Googled. Yup, googled! It saved me $50-$100 and I love the outcome.

For those of you who want to add a little something to your blog, without the pricey paypal bill, just check out these helpful tutorials.

I will say before you start, you should create a PicMonkey and Photobucket accounts. Both are free and will help you personalize your blog.

That's it. Super easy, although time consuming, and totally 100% free.

What do you think of the new look?
Don't be shy, use the social media icons and let's connect!

  2. Your blog looks awesome! Great job! I literally just did the same thing!! I worked on my blog for the past three days customizing a template on blog. Such a headache, but like you I didn't want to pay someone $50 so I tried to figure it out myself. Thanks for including a link for a custom "about me," that's what I'm going to work on next!

  3. I think it looks great! I refuse to pay for something that I can figure out myself. I have always used free stuff as blog templates and goodies! Thanks for posting the links, I may actually make a custom 'about me' section for myself!
