Our 1st Field Trip

One perk of visiting our family and friends in Ohio is that we get to tag along to my niece's school field trip. Today, we joined Cora and her 1st grade class for an outing to The Children's Museum at Union Station in Cincinnati. One of the last train stations built, Union Terminal has become one of the iconic symbols of the city. The museum is home to various smaller museums and attractions. Today, we spent the afternoon touring the Duke Energy Children's Museum.

This was Connor's first trip to the museum. He loved. every. minute! He is ALL boy and had the best time taking in the sights and sounds. What made the day even more special was that we got to enjoy the outing with Uncle Stevie, Mamaw and cousin Will and Allee.

*Stevie, Mom and Will were ready to go! ** Connor had a blast with the ball pit. *** Cora got to go around with us to take in all the sites.

As you can tell, Connor enjoyed himself. He just took in all that was around him - the lights, the sounds, the children coming and going, singing, talking and yelling. You would NEVER guess the little dude is currently cutting two teeth.

C really enjoyed the water area and sitting on the cars. I can't believe my baby boy is ALMOST big enough to sit on a toy car. Where has the last 6 months gone? #timepleaseslowdown

Stevie and I let out our inner kid out and played grocery store. I made sure to ask for coupons and their rewards cards (the frugal part of me just can't hide).

Today was so much fun and I love being able to share a first of Connor's with his grandparents, uncle and cousins. As much fun as the children had, I think I may have been the most excited one in our group. However, it is almost 7 and Connor is STILL taking his afternoon nap. I think it's safe that today's excitement wore the little guy out.
