5.30.12 - 7 Months

7 months? Seriously? Where has the time gone? It's flying by at lightening speed, not giving me time to cherish every. single. moment!

Your personality has grown so much this month. You have entered the stage where you pretend to be shy, when in fact, you are so far from it. There isn't a single person you don't love to be held by or played with. You are a bit of an attention hog! You have started to show a little bit of your stubborn side and it's been quite a transition from our easy going babe. You hate getting dressed most days. You roll and squirm and yell. If I even come at you like I'm going to wipe your face, you start thrashing your head from side to side. The fact that you are almost crawling makes it difficult to keep you in one place during diaper changes. You are on the move constantly. It won't be long now and you will be a full blown crawling baby boy.

You are much more aware of your surroundings and what is going on. You love sitting outside watching the cars drive by. You watch them come and go. It completely amazes you. You also have to make sure you can see whoever is talking; you stretch and strain yourself so that you can get them in your line of vision. This also applies when I leave your sight - you do not like that! I am afraid to say it, but you are now a Mommy's boy (sorry James). It's made for an interesting couple of weeks.

See all that drool? That's pretty much your style these days. You are now the proud owner of 2 bottom teeth, which explains the constant wet face and shirts (and the 2 weeks of torture on my end; teething is horrid). You have been eating so well, considering you mouth has to be sore. You have 4 bottles a day, oatmeal and fruit in the morning and 2 veggies at lunch. I can tell you are starting to put on some weight; you look much chubbier and boy are you getting heavy! You are still sleeping like a champ. You sleep 10-12 hours a night, with one 2-3 hour morning nap and a 1-2 hour early evening nap. And the days you don't get your naps? Lord help us! You are in size 6 months clothes and size 2 shoes. You are still a bit on the small size but it's nice to have you finally out of 3-6 month clothing.

But true to form, you are still the happiest baby we could have ever wished for! You brighten our days with your smiley face and deep belly laugh. You are really quiet a ham, even if lately I've called you Frankie on a daily basis. Some of your favorite things are your blanket. Boy, do you love your blanket. You have started playing with your toys much more and have shown a interest in the trucks I've handed you. Especially the ones that make noise. You are a huge music fan. We listen to Pandora's Toodler station daily and you have a few favorites: The Wheels on the Bus, 5 Little Monkeys and This Little Light of Mine.

We love you Connor and as much as I've enjoyed the last 7 months, I know the fun has just begun. This time next month, you will be crawling, providing Momma with lots of cardio! I look forward to the fun we will have this summer together.
