A Day at the Zoo

As mentioned in my 2013 Goals post, I want to make a honest effort of getting out of the house and having family outings. My goal is to spend one weekend day out of the house and learning/exploring our new hometown. On Sunday, we did just that! The weather was amazing - 70+ degrees in January - so James suggested we go to the Austin Zoo and Animal Sanctuary. We found a great deal from Groupon and thought what better way to enjoy such amazing "winter" weather. Austin Zoo and Animal Sanctuary is a private, non-profit zoo rescuing animals. This smaller zoo allowed us to really take our time and see all they had to offer.

Since Connor is so little, the trip was really more for James and I but our Little Mister enjoyed himself.

Our family had such a blast. Connor did so well in his car seat/stroller. If you are ever in the Austin area, I suggest you visit the zoo. It's a great way to spend an afternoon, especially with your little one(s)!
